Oransi Partners with Austin Energy for TX Regional Science Fair

As part of our efforts to keep the air in both Texas and America clean as possible, we’ve found ourselves working to help numerous eco-friendly causes. One of the most rewarding activities Oransi participates in is the Austin Energy Regional Science Fair.

Although the event itself is specifically based out of Texas and features the region’s most recognized young minds from grade school, all participants are presenting ideas that could potentially solve issues effecting the whole planet.

Whether they’re working on innovative clean energy solutions or self-manuvering cars that assist each other when driving, the ideas are all out of the box and coming from a generation who will guiding our future. Yet, despite all the burgeoning possibilities, only the students who deliver the most tangible ideas move forward to the following national and international rounds.

As the air quality advocates, our responsibility is to help choose the best concepts from the Environmental Management category. Since our company was founded in 2010, we’ve been interviewing and qualifying the top seniors in this green field, offering scholarships to the top two concepts.

This year, our winners were working on The Decomposition of BPA (with P. putida, P. ostreatus, and UV-C Light) and the Effects of Morphology and Chemical Structure on Free Volume and Transport Properties of HAB-6FDA Structures, respectively. Although both projects took a few minutes of explanation initially, they both exceptionally well thought out and displayed the proactive mindset required to set themselves apart from their fierce competition.
